This is less of an article and more of a resource, as The F-list UK recently went live. An all-female directory of artists, the not-for-profit website aims to address the gender imbalance of the music industry. Congratulations to the likes of Vick Bain on getting this up and running!
#SaveThe30 campaign to rescue UK venues reaches 10% of target – but much more help is needed
NME gave everyone the lowdown on the latest from the #SaveOurVenues and #SaveThe30 campaign. In a plea to help grassroots music venues across the UK during COVID-19, thousands across the country have been donating and sharing to save the venues listed, of which Brighton’s own The Rossi Bar is one.
UK vinyl sales heading for best year in three decades
Ending with some good news, The Guardian reported on how vinyl sales are thriving at the moment. The lack of gigs and effect of Bandcamp’s good 2020 have no doubt had an impact on the way that we are supporting artists. Long may it continue.
